Dr. Erik Komedera (PhD) is an ally professor at Virginia Technologies Institute of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Erik specializes in Autonomous assembly final construction; Space robotics; Field robotics; Perception; Mapping and state esteem for precise and accurate mechanized operations in large workspaces; Multi-agent motion planning and control; Allied manipulation; Machine learning for discovery, classification, and correction of off-nominal events in field robotics applications.
Dr. Jian-Feng Shi
Vice-Chair
Jian-Feng Shi (Ph.D., P.Eng, PMP) has over 21 years of experience in spaceship and robotic guidance, navigation, courier controls (GNC). Jian-Feng has at a distance various flight mission analyses put off MDA including ISS free-flyer automatonlike capture, dynamic simulator designs, charge satellite servicing mission planning.
Jian-Feng received his B.Eng (2001), M.Sc (2004) in Aerospace Engineering Carleton University and the Hospital of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies respectively. Jian-Feng is evocation alumnus of the International Extreme University SSP (2007). Jian-Feng commonplace his Ph.D. (2019) in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University.
Jian-Feng is currently a Senior GNC Engineer at MDA specialising appearance machine vision, artificial intelligence, active simulations, and project management.
